About The Event

Welcome to
Community Pitch

Join us for Community Pitch 2023, a dynamic and engaging community networking event with a significant social impact. This exciting opportunity allows local business owners to extend their support to extraordinary charitable organisations making a difference in our community. Mark your calendars for Tuesday, September 12, as we gather at a new venue generously donated by Magpies Waitara. With enhanced capacity, Community Pitch promises to attract a greater number of local businesses and generate increased funds to aid deserving community groups in need.

Building on the tremendous success of our 2022 event, where over $56,000 was donated to ten outstanding Community Groups, Community Pitch has already demonstrated its ability to drive meaningful change. For instance, funds raised in 2022 helped to facilitate the extension of the Safe T pilot program, offering vital support to women and children escaping domestic violence. The Northern Centre’s self-funded program exceeded expectations, surpassing its target of supporting 120 clients in 24 months by an astounding 164%. With eight months remaining, the program has already assisted 197 clients. This is just one of many inspiring examples showcasing the profound social impact of Community Pitch’s success.

Community Pitch serves as a platform for local businesses eager to give back to the community. It’s a chance to discover various projects initiated by Community Groups within your area. These groups are carefully selected from diverse sectors, ensuring a broad range of support is offered, spanning Aged Care services, Domestic Violence, The Arts, and Homelessness.

During the event, each Community Group will have three minutes to pitch their project to a room filled with local businesses and community members, known as Pitch Partners, who have generously contributed to a funding pool. At the conclusion of the presentations, each Pitch Partner can choose which Community Group(s) they wish to support using their pledged funds.

We are delighted to share that the ‘pitch funding pool’ has already received a tremendous boost, thanks to a $20,000 donation from the Turramurra and Lindfield Community Bank. This generous contribution will be distributed to the participating Community Groups on the night, further amplifying the impact of Community Pitch.

Don't miss out on the chance to be part of a transformative event that drives positive change in our community. Join us at Community Pitch 2023 and make a lasting impact together!
