About The Event

Welcome to
Community Pitch

Community Pitch, a dynamic community networking event with a significant social impact.

We are pleased to announce that in 2023, we gave away $64,850  to the 10 charitable organisations who bravely pitched at Community Pitch on September 12.

Thank you to all those who made the event such a great success.  We can’t wait to do it all again this year!

Community Pitch has already demonstrated its ability to drive meaningful change. In 2024 we aim to deepen the impact on the community.

Community Pitch serves as a platform for local businesses eager to give back to the community. It’s a chance to discover various projects initiated by Community Groups within your area. These groups are carefully selected from diverse sectors, ensuring a broad range of support is offered.

During the event, each Community Group has three minutes to pitch their project to a room filled with local businesses and community members, known as Pitch Partners, who have generously contributed to a funding pool. At the conclusion of the presentations, each Pitch Partner chooses which Community Group(s) they wish to support using their pledged funds.

In 2023 the ‘Pitch Funding Pool’ reached a total of $64,850 , Including a $30,000 donation from  Lindfield & District Community Bank.

Our 2023 Community Groups were:

  • Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Women’s Shelter– Providing crisis accommodation and a safe place for women and their children experiencing domestic abuse and homelessness in the Hornsby Ku-ring-gai area.
  • Dreams2Live4 – making dreams come true for adults 17+ living with metastatic cancer.
  • EarlyEd  – A family-centred early childhood intervention service for young children with disabilities or delays in their development and their families.
  • National Centre for Childhood Grief – Caring for bereaved children aged 3-17yrs after the death of their parent, sibling or close loved one.
  • The Dish of St John – Providing food, friendship and an inclusive community to disadvantaged and vulnerable people.
  • KYDS Youth Development Service – Provide free mental health support to adolescents in northern Sydney via a range of early intervention workshops and counselling sessions.
  • Lifeline Harbour to Hawkesbury Sydney- working 24hrs a day, every day of the year, to build hope and resilience within the community to prevent suicide.
  • Studio ARTES – An expressive environment for adults with disabilities looking to develop and expand their creativity and life.
  • Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Community Transport – Providing transport for older persons to help reduce social isolation.

Thank you to our 2023 Pitch Partners

Without the support of these generous and socially responsible businesses, Community Pitch would not be able to create the impact our community deserves. Thank you for your support.
